I bought both of my grandsons a MacDougall power wool bat each, one is 11 years old and the other is 6 years old. We absolutely love them, they are everything the company claims them to be. Solid, powerful strength and design. I had them customized with their names, color preference and grip styles. We noticed considerable improvement in their performance and overall power. I bought this bat (32/29 Balanced) for my 13u player, and to say that he loves it would be an understatement. The contact is astonishing and he can drive the ball as well with this bat as with his composite BB core.

Having played extensively myself, I can say that the few swings I have taken have so far exceeded my expectations that, even though I don’t play competitively any more, I will be buying one of these bats for myself to do tee work with.

Before buying from MacDougall, I looked at and hit with many of the top brands, but at the end of the day, this bat outperformed all of them.

I’m a 65 year old left handed ER Doc who’s played baseball all my life. I play in the MSBL (men’s senior baseball league) in the SF Bay Area. Last year I won the batting title hitting .524

So I know something about bats and fine surgical instruments. The bat arrived two weeks ago and our league starts its season in 10 days. So my review is based on batting practice only.

This bat is a sexy beast. Form, fit, and finish are excellent. Well balanced and a pleasure to hold.

My teammates loved how it looked and the story behind it. As previous reviewers have stated the ball leaps off the bat with no vibration even when you take one near the hands.

The sound of the ball screaming off the bat is hard to describe, let’s just say it gives your baseball soul a sh*t eating grin.

I have the black and natural bat and I absolutely love this bat however I am sad that the softball left marks from hitting the ball. lol The bat is almost too pretty to hit the softball.
On a serious note this bat is awesome

This is a great bat that my son loves. I purchased a bigger size (31 -3) and he loves it. The engraving of his name on the bat was the icing on the cake. I look forward how this bat will provide him with a tool to develop elite batting skills.

it is a well made bat and has already lasted longer then the Marucci ones my son was using. Interested to see if we need to use the 1 year breakage guarantee. It is an extremely well made bat!

Love it so far

So far so good. My team has only used the bat a couple of times in the batting cage, but the response from the players has been that they all love it. Easy to swing and good pop. The finish on the bat is outstanding.
